Skip Heizer

Skip is a seasoned investor and company builder with over 30 years of investing, operating, and legal experience. Skip is the managing member of Heizer Capital LLC, business development and investment concern, and is executive chairman of LB-Limited of London, England (underwriter of specialty insurance), and Trinchera Production Company of Oklahoma City (owner of oil & gas interests). Skip serves or has served as a board member of numerous Heizer Capital portfolio companies including ones in the dental services, veterinary services, eye care services, health diagnostics, specialty foods, and private equity industries. Earlier in his career, Skip was a partner at a national law firm where he specialized in working with high growth businesses. Skip is the liaison for The Heizer Center for Private Equity and Venture Capital at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and for The Heizer Award, an annual award issued in cooperation with The Academy of Management for the best doctoral dissertation in the field of new enterprise development.
Skip also is a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Skip received a JD from Northwestern University School of Law and both a BS in Management Science Engineering and a BBA in Business from Southern Methodist University.
